A Wise Move that Tinubu Should also consider taking after last Saturday's State Congress.
Read all about it in this article.....
You will recall that parallel congresses were held by some
APC top shots to rival the Congresses held by the state Governors, who are the
leaders of the party in the state.
In Kano and Lagos, parallel congresses were conducted by
former Governors of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau and Akinwunmi Ambode to rival
the Congresses held by Kano and Lagos State Governors, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
and Babajide Sanwoolu.
But according to the Daily Trust, Kano State Governor, Umar
Ganduje has began to make moves to reconcile with members of the camp led by
Shekarau. This reconciliation move is very vital in my opinion and I will
analyze briefly why similar steps should be taken in Lagos by the national
leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the ultimate leader of APC
in Lagos.
Why Tinubu should also consider making moves for
reconciliation like Ganduje.
Kano and Lagos have been very vital to the success of the
ruling party since they took power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in
2015.
Kano alone has given the APC over three million votes in the
last two presidential elections combined. While Lagos, the economic capital of
the nation, is a state the APC cannot afford to lose considering the huge
amount of income generated in the state.
However, the opposition in Lagos may be buoyed to capture
the state for the first going by the recent crisis that marred the state
Congress. The Daily Trust reports that four parallel congresses were conducted
in Lagos by various camps within the APC in the state.
